Samuel Leefsma and Susanna Mogendorff had five, among whom two twins: Henriëtte and David, Adele and two children who survived the war by going into hiding.

The Gouda police commissioner requested that Samuel Joseph Leefsma and his wife Susanna Leefsma-Mogendorff be located, detained and brought to trial. They resided in Gouda at 105 Krugerlaan. They were suspected of having left the town of Gouda on 1 November 1942 without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
