Bernhard van Gelder, born in The Hague, moved from Groningen to Renkum in 1939. He taught agriculture and Hebrew. On 27 November 1940 he left for Wageningen. On 23 November 1943 he was deleted from the register of births, deaths and marriages and listed as 'VOW': departed for unknown destination.
