The mayor of Groenlo requested that Roosje Maas-Eichenwald, a Jewess residing in Groenlo, be located, detained and brought to trial. She had left the town of Groenlo without the required authorization, and her whereabouts were unknown. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

During a remembrance service in Groenlo on 4 May 2006 some pages were read from the rewritten diary of the child of Roosje Maas that survived the war.
