Mozes Israel Manassen (called 'Moske' by his wife) was married to a non-Jewish woman. They had a child. At the start of the war the family had to move from The Hague to the Jewish quarter in Amsterdam-Oost. The wife of Mozes Israël arranged that they could live in the Jacob Obrechtstraat in Amsterdam-Zuid. Mozes Israël died of cancer. His wife then took part in the resistance.
