About Roosje Jozep-Braaf

The mayor of Sleen requested on behalf of the Sicherheitspolizei in Assen that Roosje Jozep-Braaf be located, detained and brought to trial. She was suspected of having left her place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Roosje Braaf was a daughter of Wolf Braaf and Sofia Heiman Schaap. On 14 April 1893 she was married to Wolf Jozep, who died before the war. The couple had six children: Sophia, Aaltje (died at a young age), Salomon, Herman, Elsiena and one child that survived the war.
