Nathan Baruch was a son of Abraham Baruch and Betje van Gelder. He married in Amsterdam on July 20, 1932 to Josephine Engelsman, a daughter of Joseph Engelsman and Rebecca Engelsman.
Five other siblings, Sara, Salomon, Rosalie, Jacob and Evaline Hélène have been killed during the Holocaust too.
