Sara van de Kar was a daughter of Hillel van de Kar and Abigaël Lisser. She married 20 March 1935 in Amsterdam to Levie Boeken, a son of Mozes Boeken and Debora Vogel. She had also a brother Joseph Hijman, who also lost his life during the Holocaust.
