Abraham Mozes Velleman was a son of Karel Abraham Velleman and Rebecca Kinsbergen. He married on 3 April 1941 in Amsterdam to Margaretha de Gorter, daughter of Branca Polak and Samuel de Gorter.
The couple had one daughter Yvonne Bertha Velleman, who survived the Holocaust.
