Sientje Visser was a daughter of butcher Emanuel Visser and Betje Frankfort, a family with three children. Sientje had another brother Jacob and a sister Leentje. She married on 19 March 1884 in Devenger to Godfried van Dam from Groningen, aged 27, son of Nathan van Dam and Rachel van der Reis.
Godfried was a manufacturer of ready-made clothing and passed away in Groningen, aged 62, on 18 May 1919.
The couple had three children: Rachel, Arnold and Elisabeth. The husband of Rachel, Jacques Ezechiel Cohen did not survive the Holocaust.
