Simon Klein was married to Judik van Coeverden. He was a merchant. The family lived in the Snouckaertlaan in Amersfoort. For unknown reasons, Simon Klein, at the age of 36, was arrested and taken to the presinct of the Sicherheitspolizei in The Hague. On 11 March 1941, the police in Amersfoort were informed that 'he had taken his own life by hanging during the previous night at midnight'. His body had already been transferred to the morgue and his family were never allowed to see it.

Simon Klein was arrested and killed for espionage in the Hague at the beginning of March 1941. Mister Klein is buried at the honors field in Bloemendaal.
