In May 1941, Het Joodsche Weekblad published an obituary for Frederika van der Rijn-Cohen. The same edition of the weekly also features a short necrology.
Frederika Van der Rijn-Cohen was a governor of the Jewish Home for Old People 'Beth Zekenim' at the Schoolholm in Groningen from when it was set up. A few years before she died, she resigned from her function in view of her age. She was a Knight in the Order of Oranje-Nassau.
