Simon Achttienribbe was a son of Bension Achttienribbe and Margaretha van Praag. Simon Achttienribbe married on 4 August 1932 to a non-Jewish woman. The couple had three children. Both his children and their mother survived the war. Simon was an active member of the resistance movement. He was held up in Groningen on the 4th of February 1943.
