Levie Schenk was a son of Joseph Levie Schenk and Aaltje Rubens, a family of four children, of whom one child died as a baby of one month old. The other siblings of Levie were Maurits and Jette.
After the death of Joseph Levi Schenk in 1876, Aaltje Rubens remarried in 1878 to Hendrik Sternfeld, with whom she had again six children, if whom the first born child died only a few moths old. The other children, Levie's halfbrothers ans halfsisters Sternfeld were Benjamin, Sientje, who passed away in 1938, Eva, Betje and Jozeph, who has died alreay in 1906.
Levie Schenk was not married.
