Biography

About Simon Polak

Simon Polak, son of Philip Polak and Aaltje Nathans, has lost his life somewhere in Mid Europe on 31 March 1943. His sister Betje was killed in Auschwitz and his parents in Sobibor, however at different dates. Presumably his father Philip stayed as a patient in the pychiatric hospital Port Natal in Assen. On order of the german occupiers all patients and staff have been deported into Germany in 1943. His father was killed in Sobibor on 23 April 1943 and his mother already there one month earlier, on 13 March 1943.
