About Samuel van der Velde

Samuel van der Velde worked at the section Child Benefit of Centraal Beheer, Singel 126-130 in Amsterdam. A former colleague remembers him as a quiet boy. During the war Samuel van der Velde was in hiding. After his mother and sister were called on to report to the authorities, he also reported himself to the German authorities, despite the warnings of a colleague whom he met in the Utrechtsestraat in Amsterdam. Samuel van der Velde was determined to go.
