Nathan Andreas Schnitzeler was a son of Mozes Schnitzeler and Antje Kalf. He married to Maria Johanna Catharina Drubbel, from whom he has divorced. Nathan remarried on 18 April 1928 in Den Haag to Grietje Viskoper, daughter of Elias Viskoper and Eva Boas.
