The mayor of Zuidwolde requested that Simon van Sisteren, 'Jew, butcher', living upstairs in the Johann Keplerstraat 7 in Amsterdam. He did not wear a 'Jew star' and was probably hiding with residents in the countryside. His description was given as: 'Height approx. 5'7", solid build, healthy complexion, black naturally wavy hair, perfect teeth, dark brown eyes; dressed in dark blue suit and dirty white raincoat.'
