Elkan Roe was a son of Barend Roe and Elisabeth Barber He married 25 October 1933 in Amsterdam Marianna Barber, a daughter of Manus Barber and Flora van Velzen. The couple had no children.
Elkan had one brother Joseph who also has been killed during the Holocaust.
