Samuel Samuel was the son of Mozes Samuel and Leentje Noach. He married in 1907 to Grietje Muller, daughter of Mozes Liefman Muller and Rosetta Windmuller. Samuel and Grietje had three children. Their daughter Annie was married and lived in Arnhem. Two children survived the war.
