Ludovicus Wolf was a son of Martinus Wolf and Veronica Velleman. He married in Rotterdam on 28 November 1906 to Rebecca van West, daughter of Jacob van West and Grietje Mossel. The couple had 10 children, among them a stillborn daughter, a daughter who died in childhood, two sons who died in childhood, two daughters who have survived the Holocaust and four children who were killed or perished during the Sjoah: Bernard, Martinus, Arie, and Roosje.
