Nathan van Loon was a son of Salomon van Loon and Marianna Bonewit, who both passed away already before the war.
He married 13 February 1930 in Amsterdam to Elisabeth Lam, a daughter of Benedictus Lam and Duifje Dresden. The couple had three childreen.
Nathan was born in a family with 10 children. One little sister died in 1896, only 2 years old. One brother and one sister have survived the war but the other siblings, namely Clara, Isaac, Hijman, Philip, Vogelina and Louis have been killed during the Holocaust.
