Eliazar Frenk, born in 1911, was a son of Hendrik Frenk and Leentje Olman. He was named after his grandfather Eliazar Israel Olman. His parents divorced in 1933 and lived since then at separate addresses.
Eliazar Israel was a musician. He left 20 December 1931 Rotterdam and went to Chemnitz. Via Bonn in Germany he returned in Holland on 2 October 1935 and stayed with his mother Leentje Olman at Damasstraat 45 in Den Haag, where she lived since her divorce. Also his sister Helena, who was married in 1933, lived at the same address with her husband. His sister has survived the war.
Son and mother returned to Rotterdam and lived on 27 December 1939 at De Quackstraat 64-c. On 10 October 1940, Eliazar moved to Provenierssingel 36-a, to move then again to Plaslaan 80 in Schiebroek, where he lived with his non-Jewish wife, to whom he was married after 1940.
On 13 October 1942, Eliazer Israel was registered in transit camp Westerbork and has been deported “Eastwards” on 16 November 1942. Eventually he lost his life somewhere in Mid Europe on 31 March 1944.
