Heintje Berman was an unmarried daughter of Joseph Barend Berman and Jacoba Haagman. She was born into a family with three more sisters and one brother. Her sisters all passed away before the war, only her brother survived the war. Heintje had a function as “hoofdjuffrouw in een pettenfabriek” (head inspector in a cap factory) and she lived per 1 Februari 1937 at Spiegelnisserkade 26 b in Rotterdam
