Gerard du Bruin was the son of Coenraad du Bruin. He was a member of the CPN. In the 1930's he fought in the Spanish civil war.
Gerard du Bruin was arrested in 1941 for taking part in a resistance movement. He was deported to Neuengamme where he died.
