Mozes Franzie studied medicine in Leiden. On 1 November 1907 he sat for his medical finals. On 17 June 1910 he took his PhD degree in Leiden for his thesis on branch tearing as a cause for aneurysm formation. He lived and practised at 51 Louise de Colignystraat in The Hague.

Mozes Franzie received many expressions of thanks from Hindenburg for bringing underfed German children to the Netherlands during World War One, among which a decorated silver plate.
