Jansje Hartog was part of the resistance in Utrecht together with her father and three siblings. Her older brother worried about the reliability of the hiding place of her and her brother David and found another address. There they were still betrayed and arrested at a later stage.
Addition of a visitor of the website
The mayor of Groenlo ordered that Jansje Hartog be located, detained and brought to trial. A resident of Groenlo, she was suspected of having changed her place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
