He had left for an unknown destination on 23 March 1942, when he was ordered to leave Vlissingen for Amsterdam on 24 March 1942. Identifying characteristics: 'height about 5'7", average build, pale complexion, slightly curly, light-brown hair combed back; probably wearing a brown overcoat and a brown felt hat'.
