Ruth Schönfeld and her parents came from Berlin to the Netherlands in 1936. During the war they were deported trough Westerbork to Theresienstadt. Father Fritz was send thru to Auschwitz. He was liberated in a laborcamp around Gross-Rosen. Ruth was during the end of the war in Bergen-Belsen. There she witnessed the liberation. Ruth Schönfeld probably died soon after the liberation.
There is a story that Ruth was asked by a British patrol to jump on board there truck but that she was too weak and the truck continued without her.
