Gonne Reindorp was a daughter of Hertz Reindorp en Flora Hamburg, a family with eight children: Hartog, who passed away in 1939, Gonne herself, Abraham, Rebekka, Carolina, Jacob, Mozes and Henriette.

Gonne Reindorp married Mozes Willem Velleman on 28 January 1903. The ceremony took place in Leeuwarden. The couple had four children. In 1904 their son Herman Velleman was born. In September 1905 their daughter Grietje Velleman was born. In 1907 Flora Velleman was born and in 1914 Gonne Velleman-Reindorp gave birth to Henriette Velleman.
In 1926 Mozes Willem Velleman died. Gonne Velleman-Reindorp lived with her oldest son and his family during the war.
