Joseph Plas was a son of Abraham Plas and Heintje van Rheenen. He was married to Jansje Koster In Amsterdam on 3 January 1933. The couple first lived at Geldersekade and Maasstraat before they moved to the St. Antoniesbreestraat in 1935. In 1941 they were registered at the same address, but on different floors.
