Dora Zwaab was a daughter of Philip Zwaab and Judith Blog. She married in Amsterdam on 25 October 1933 to Maurits Smeer, son of Jacob Smeer and Elisabeth Pool. The couple had two children: Jacob Philip and Elisabeth.
She had six other siblings: Joanna, Rosalie, Gerard, Joel, Reina and Emanuel.
