Elias Peereboom was a patient in the Apeldoornse Bos since 29 October 1942, presumably in the Paedagogium Achisomog. It is possible he thought he would be safe in that institute. He was deported on 22 January 1943 with the other patients through Westerbork to Auschwitz.
