Sophie Bär, born in Bruchsal (Germany), was a daughter of Leopold Bär and Fannij Kahn. She was unmarried and resided in Blaricum. According an add in Het Joodsche Weeklad of 28 November 1941 where she offered herself and expressed her willingness to wat to perfom any job at a small family without pay.
There is a registration card of Sophie Bär in the file cabinet of the Jewish Council, with a reference to her brother Bernhard, who resided at Heemraadssingel 310 in Rotterdam. It is not known on which moment Sophie Bär has been deported to Auschwitz, however her certificate of death, made out at Blaricum on 15 May 1951 as nr. 19, it is known that Sophie Bär has been killed in Auschwitz on 25 January 1943.
