Jacob Amen was the son of Jacob Amen and Catharina Frenk. His parents married in 1911 and survived the war. They passed away after the war: Jacob in 1973 and Catharina in 1970. Jacob Amen jr. grew up in a family with nine children. In February 1943 Jacob Amen made notice of his intended marriage.
Data from the cartotheque of the Jewish Council show that Jacob Amen was transferred from concentration camp Vught to Westerbork on 31 March 1943 where he stayed in barrack 57. On 6 April he was put on transport to Sobibor and on arrival there he has been killed immediately in the gas chambers there.
