Benjamin Delmonte was an actor. He appeared at fun fairs with his own theatre companies: the Hollandsch Tooneelgezelschap and later the Nieuwe Nederlandsche Tooneelvereeniging. Between 1916 and 1921 he was deputy director of Frascati's Kluchtspelenensemble and was affiliated with Herman Bouber in the Ensemble Delmonte-Bouber in 1918-1919.
