Before the war Elsa Virginie Keezer had a dancing school in Amsterdam. One of her teachers was Sonia Gaskell.
During the war Elsa Virginie Keezer went into hiding. She was found and as a result of going into hiding, she was brought to Westerbork and interned in the punishment block. A former student of Elsa Virginie Keezer received a card which Elsa Keezer managed to trow out of the train in which she was deported.
