Esther Lakmaker was a daughter of Abraham Lakmaker and Rachel Beesemer.

Esther Boas-Lakmaker married to Samuel Boas on 1 March 1906. Samuel sold vegetables at the market. He passed away in 1939 whilst working. Before the war the family Boas lived at the Gedempte Gracht 9-7. Esther and Samuel had three children, of which one survived the war. Son Abraham Boas, who resided at another address, was killed in Sobibor in July 1943.
