Sara Israëls was a daughter of Lazarus Israëls and Johanna Frank. On 18 December 1935 she married in Rotterdam Salomon van Praagh, a son of Marcus van Praagh and Helena Duitz. The couple had two children, namely Helena in 1938 and in 1939 Johan Max.
Before her marriage, Sara Israëls lived in at the address Middellandstraat 68 a in Rotterdam. Afther her marriages in December 1935 she lived with her husband at Stationsweg 46 b but since 4 Novembe 1937 at Van Beuningenstraat 11 in Rotterdam where also her children were born. They lived there till the moment they were sent to Camp Westerbork.
Johanna Israëls, her husband Salomon van Praagh and both her children were sent to Camp Westerbork on 13 October 1942. All have been put on transport to Auschwitz on 6 November where Johanna and both her children were killed immediately upon arrival there on 9 November 1942.
Johanna's spouse however was selected to do hard labor and he lost his life eventually somewhere in Mid Europe on 31 March 1944.
