Izak Joseph Koning was a merchant. He lived in Rotterdam. Following the surrender in May 1940 he joined an illegal military division. On 1 August 1941 he was arrested in Hotel Plattenburg in Maarn and locked up at the Haagse Veer police station in Rotterdam. He reached Gross-Rosen, where he was killed, via the camps at Amersfoort and Sachsenhausen.
