Eliazer Englander was a son of Nathan Englander and Lea Rimini, who both have died already before the war. He married 23 April 1914 in Zaandam Veronika Braadbaart, a daughter of Jacob Braadbaart and Betje de Goeije. The couple had two children: Nathan Eliazer, who married in 1942 Elisabeth Polak and Betje, who married in 1941 Henri Magnus van Gelder. Betje and her husband and little daughter lived at another address.
Eliazer Englander was born into a family of eight children. Two of them (a sister and a brother) have survived the Holocaust. The others, Judith, Esther, Jacques, Samuel Henri and Louis, have been killed too in the Shoah.
