David van Amerongen, son of Emanuel David van Amerongen and Mietje Glaser, married 18 August 1909 in Haarlem Elisabeth Gaarkeuken, daughter of Magiel Gaarkeuken and Grietje van Hessen. The couple had two daughters, Marietje and Margartha. Both have been killed in the Shoah.
David van Amerongen lived in Haarlem but in 1926 he moved to Amsterdam with his family and stayed at various addresses. Pe 3 August 1935 it has become Henrick de Keijserplein 19 2nd stock. The registration card from the archive of the Jewish Council however listed his address as Nieuwe Achtergracht 2 in Amsterdam. Possibly that David van Amerongen himself no longer lived at Henrick de Keijserplein after Februray 1941 (municipal registration date). His wife and daughters still resided at their old address.
David van Amerongen was deported to Camp Westerbork 23 January 1943 and stayed in barack 60. His wife Elisabeth Gaarkeuken arrived in Westerbork 23 March 1943, also in barack 60. Till her deportation she has lived at Henrick de Keijserplein.
After arrival of Elisabeth Gaarkeuken 23 March 1942, David and his wife were put on transport 30 March 1943 to Sobibor where upon arrival there 2 April 1943, they were immediately killed.
