Hartog van Buuren from Hoensbroek, baker and a son of Sallie van Buuren and Eva Zilverberg, married 12 August 1942 in Amsterdam Adelina Sigaar, a daughter of Meijer Sigaar and Sara de Leeuwe. He lives at home with his parents at Tugelaweg 98 downfloor and his wife Adeline lives also with her parents at Transvaalstraat 82 2nd stock in Amsterdam.
His parents are married in 1903 at Dalen (Germany) and they had a large family; Hartog had nine siblings, namely Reinazelina, Salomon Jozef, Betje, Jacob, Suzanna Isabella, Selma, Koort Samuel, Lientje and Sophia. Only his sister Selma has survived the Holocaust; all other siblings and parents were killed in the Shoah.
Hartog van Buuren was brought in Westerbork between 3 and 5 October 1942, presumably together with his wife Adelina Sigaar. 26 October both were put on transport to Auschwitz where Hartog has been selected to work as forced labourer. Eventually he lost his life there 28 February 1943. His wife Adelina van Buuren was killed immediately upon arrival in Auschwitz 29 October 1942.
