Frouke Knorringa was the unmarried daughter of Mozes Knorringa and Helena Bendiks. She was born 22 June 1886 in Uithuizen in the province of Groningen. Frouke had no profession; her profession was registered nowhere. Frouke has survived the Holocaust.
She lived at many places in Holland and abroad: besides Uithuizen, also in Amsterdam, Den Haag but during the 2nd World War, she stayed in Nice in Southern France, where she went from Amsterdam on 9 May 1940. Notes from the Municipal Archive of Den Haag show also that she has stayed in Switzerland and in Italian Merano too.
In September `1945 she returned to Amsterdam, where she came living at Plantage Franschelaan 8. In January 1946, she left Amsterdam for Groningen and one year later, in January 1947 she left Groningen for Den Haag but since November 1950, she stayed again in Cagnes-sur-Mer in France for 4 years. Between May and December 1954 Frouke stayed shortly in Amsterdam but left in January 1957 for France again, now to Menton. In June 1957 she was back in Amsterdam but in May 1958 she moved to Renkum in the province of Gelderland.
Up from August 1958 she returned again to Amsterdam, where she has lived at a number of addresses at Keizersgracht. On 31 January 1963 she left again for Menton in France, where she passed away on 1 May 1963, nearly 77 years of age.
