Sander Sanders was a son of Boas Sanders and Sara Mendels. He was born in The Hague on 18 September 1874 and was married three times.
His first marriage was on 27 February 1902 in Amsterdam to Esther Morpurgo, a daughter of Eliezer Morpurgo and Judith Sons. Esther was born in Amsterdam on 15 July 1877, but died there on 29 September 1918 and was buried at the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
Sander and Esther had four children together, viz. Boas, born in 1902, Leonard in 1904, Willem in 1905 and Aron in 1913. Only Willem survived the Holocaust fand emigrated in April 1950 to Sydney, Australia, with his wife and two children.
Sander's second marriage was on 12 June 1919 in Zaandam to Johanna (Anna) Dekker, a daughter of Levie Abraham Dekker and Rebecca van Vliet. Johanna - nickname Anna) was born in Amsterdam on 21 September 1877, but the marriage was dissolved in Zaandam on 31 March 1921. Johanna Dekker was murdered in Auschwitz on 12 February 1943.
His third marriage was on 7 December 1922 in Amsterdam to Rachel Snijders, a daughter of Samuel Snijders and Rosina Os. Rachel was born in Amsterdam on 28 December 1882, but she too was murdered in Auschwitz on 19 November 1942.
Sander Sanders was a tailor by profession. He died on 20 June 1932 in Amsterdam and was interred in Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
