Fritz Schaefer lived with his father Hugo Schaefer (19.09.1868 in Breslau) at Uhlandstr. 32 in Berlin-Charlottenburg prior to emigrating to Rotterdam on 16.02.1939 and Amsterdam on 20.07.1939. He married the Berliner Helma Levy on 09.07.1942 in Amsterdam.
Hugo was deported from Berlin to the Theresienstadt Ghetto on 09.06.1942. The fate of Fritz's mother Irene Schaefer-Lebenberg (01.05.1891 in Schwerte) remains unknown.
