My Great Grandmother, Rebecca Kahn Zinman, and her 4 children (including my grandmother Dorothy and Uncle Arthur) were hosted by Abraham Herzberg around 1900. They were on their way to America from Latvia.
Rebecca Kahn Zinman may have been related to Rebecca Person. That may be the reason Abraham and Rebecca opened their home so generously. Rebecca Kahn Zinman was from Dunnaberg (I believe) and her 4 children were born in Latvia.
I would like to know more about our common ancestors in Latvia. And I would like to thank the Herzberg family for their kindness toward my great grandmother and grandmother.
