Marianne was born in 1890 in Emden, Germany. First daughter of Regina (born as Isaak) and Levy de Beer, was the eldest sister of Sophie (1892).

She married to Adolf Gössels on March 17^th 1911, and had three children: Theda (1912), Leonhard (1913) and Manfried (1915). In 1933 the Gössels family moved to Amsterdam with Regina. All of them were deported to Westerbork and then to Sobibor or Auschwitz in 1943.
