Verhaal

The survival of the family of Emil Reben

Emil Reben was married to Anna ALTER (born in Lodz 27.1.1901). They had two children: Richard (born 14.10.1924) and Arnita-Rael (born 3.5.1927). Anna Reben was a stylist and director of the fashionwear department of Frischmann and Co. Maatschappij in Amsterdam (presumably owned by her husband). Anna and her two children left Amsterdam for France on August 7, 1942, managed to pass into non-occupied France and went to Lyon, where they got help from the Dutch Office. They managed to successfully enter Switzerland through the Geneva border on September 26, 1942.
