Ida Grünebaum was born 6 October 1859 in Hofstetten, near Kleinwallstadt, Miltenberg, Bayern. She married Kallman Rothschild 3 May 1883 in Schaafheim, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Hessen, Germany. In Holland, she lived with her nephew Simon Grünebaum, son of her brother Jacob and his wife Therese Rosenstock.
