Eliazer was een van de mannen die bij de razzia in Amsterdam op 22 februari 1941 werden opgepakt. Op 28 februari 1941 kwam hij aan in Buchenwald. Volgens de overlijdensakte overleed hij om 4.30 uur aan hartfalen bij griep en nierontsteking. Waarschijnlijk is de doodsoorzaak een verzinsel om te verbergen dat hij vermoord is.
